The Court of History [Persian, Sub: Eng]

This docudrama explores transitional justice, individual responsibility, the right to a fair trial, and a fundamental question: How can a society, after decades of widespread human rights violations, break the cycle of revenge and establish justice as a foundation for the rule of law?

Prior to the screening, a special message about the film from Ms. Mai Sato, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran, will be presented.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring members of the film's team: Jamshid Barzegar (director and journalist), Saeid Dehghan (producer and human rights lawyer), and Mohammad Oliaei-Fard (cast member and legal expert).

The discussion will extend beyond the film to address broader questions of transitional justice and the future of the rule of law and democracy in Iran.
