ESN Bern - Kambly and Emmental Trip

Dear Erasmi,

Get ready for a sweet Swiss adventure! 🍪⛰️

Join us for a full day trip where we’ll enjoy stunning countryside views on a small hike, and taste some of the delicious local treats! 

First, we’ll visit the famous Kambly shop (not a museum), where you can enjoy free tastings of their legendary biscuits 🍪. Then, we’ll head to the Emmental Cheese Factory, where we’ll discover how Switzerland’s world-famous cheese is made, and taste it too! 🧀

Between visits, enjoy the fresh mountain air on a 2 hour hike from Kambly to Langnau, so please check the weather beforehand and dress accordingly. Also make sure to wear comfortable shoes and be ready for a sweet experience with your Erasmus friends!

REGISTRATION: Will be opened on Tuesday, 27th of October at 18:00.

WHERE: Meeting point at Bern Main Station (Bahnhof), under the big screens.

WHEN: The event will take place on Sunday, 1st of November. We will meet at 9:15 at Bern main station and we will be back in Bern at 17:41.

Tickets include: Train tickets, shop and factory visits, cookie and cheese tastings

Tickets DO NOT include: Lunch (please bring your own), personal expenses

 

IMPORTANT INFO: Don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes, dress according to the weather forecast and bring enough water for the day!

ESN card discount

The ticket options “with ESN card” are available at a special reduced price for holders of the ESN card. Please only purchase a ticket from this category if you own a valid ESN card or if you plan to buy one in the near future. You may buy a card from ESN Bern for 15.- CHF. It is valid for one year and will give you discounts at our activities. Note that the card needs to be filled with your personal information and that it will be checked at the beginning of each activity.

GA

The “Generalabonnement” (GA) by the swiss train company SBB is a monthly or yearly subscription that grants holders unlimited travel on almost all trains. This is not handled by ESN. Please only buy a ticket from the category “with GA” if you own this train subscription from SBB. Halbtax (Half fare), GA Night and local transportation subscriptions are irrelevant for this ticket option.

Refund policy

Please understand that ESN Bern cannot issue refunds on any tickets sold due to multiple reasons. You are allowed to resell the ticket for the same price to fellow students / ESN members (with the same train reductions). Please note that selling tickets with a profit is forbidden.

Also note that the illness insurance is provided by Eventfrog and ESN has nothing to do with it.
